Creaking noise coming from driver's side rear wheel area...

Hello one and all!

Hope your all well. My car Is a 1990 190E 2.5-16.

Anyway there is a creaking noise coming from the rear of my car...from the driver's side wheel area.

Now, I have changed the rear links and bushes, discs, pads and handbrake shoes. But the problem Is still there.

Im not too sure what else It could be. Over 40mph the noise disappears. But when your crawling along, or at generally lower speeds you can hear it.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Much appreciated...

Start spraying 1 item at a time, shockbushing, swaybar bushing, etc., and hopefully you'll locate the noise.
It may also be helpful if you lay under the car & have a friend bounce the trunk up & down.

The " Bounce - Test " should reveal a squeaky shock absorber / bushing.
Did you spray some WD 40 where the rear spring is seated on the control arm ?

ive done the bounce test...and there is no squeaking at all...only when you get moving do you hear the most annoying creaking noise!!!
I sprayed some lubricant over the entire spring and where it sits on the control arm...

ahh I have the same thing on the front right, 202 body. Onnly happens in cold weather, last winter and just came back. All bushings done at 70k, 2 years ago, and I am changing shocks and springs soon.......
