using j/b cold weld on cracked oil pan

How long does a cold weld j/b gel hold?????son and I quick fixed a cracked oil pan with j/b weld to be able to get it to friends shop while waiting for new oil pan.

I JB welded a large section 2" X 3" of cast iron engine block on a OM617 engine & it lasted 4 years before it started leaking again.

Cleaning the surface area first is the key to success!

If it's just a crack, Seal All should work well. If it's really a hole, I would try the JB Weld, but don't depend on it to last a long time.
