hard braking has weird sensation on foot.
Seems like my newly acquired 260E (1987) has another surprise for me today.
As I was cruising around 40miles/hour on the local road, I wanted to test out the brake by stomping on the brake as if you have to stop very suddenly. I feel a sensation on my foot like someone trying to kick the sole of my feet. I mean its really really hard kickback. I will be dropping by the mechanics this weekend for some other issues and wanted a heads up on what this problem might be. Is the brakes bad? or something else? |

pulsing pedal
Yes that is the ABS system working and if you feel a pulse when you come
to a slow rolling stop you need to pull the abs sensors at the wheels and clean them with brake cleaner you will see what looks like little hairs stuck to it that is metal shavings from the brake's it's normal

The older ABS systems were like that - it's an odd feeling, but the brakes are doing their job.
