Conecting & Disconecting EGR Valve '96 c280
I know this is beaten to death, but I after purchasing a new valve and installing it - stil got the error codes. Then I read online (this forum) that I need to clean my tube that goes to my intake. I could not drill it all the way, so I ended up making a new tube, because I did not want to remove the intake to take out the old tube. So, here I am, I created a new tube, conected it to both ends (manifold and EGR valve), but now I forgot which vacume tube goes where. You know, the ones that run from the egr valve to the front of the car into a control unit. I do not remember which one goes in which port. One of those tubes has vacume only when I depress the accel. Is there anyway you guys can help me?
I know I should have been more carefull, but I thought that I will remember.... Oh and one more thing - When I had the valve disconected, I tested it and it worked. Now when it is allhooked up, it doesnt seem to work... |

OK I got really confused...
There is a control unit in front of the car that has 3 (I think) lines going in/out of it. How do I know which one goes where? One needs to go to the EGR for sure, but which one is it, and there is one that should go to the "thing" next to the egr valve. I dont know what that is... Please help...! Thank you! |

The top line goes to the egr and the one off the side goes to the Secondary Air system (the "thing"). I believe that the top line that runs to the EGR is a double connector. Then of course you have the 4th port that is being supplied vacuum from the manifold.
