Fan Clutch 190e 1989 2.6- radiator damage

I am hearing noise from front of engine and I assume is the fan clutch, I can push and pull the fan and the clutch seams a little moving in it, I assume that the fan clutch needs tobe replaced, but I do not want to change it now, anyone had experinced that fan clutch got out and damaged the radiator, is it possible?

Fan - or tensioner mechanism - ?

I have a 1990 2 liter 4 banger that was making a rattling noise up front like you too. You may want to check the rubber bushings in the shock absorber attached to the belt tensioner. These have a tendency to wear and this results in a noisy metallic rattle even though the belt remains properly tensioned.

Just a thought. Good luck and season's greetings.

Dan
