Cruise control amp. 89 560 SEL

Hi all. Im fairly new to this fourm. My cruise died on me and everything I hear and read is that either the amplipher or the actuator. I replaced the amp. with a new remanufacted unit and it worked fine for about 5 min. then quit. This was three or four days ago and now every once inawhile it will pick up and work but very seldome. But I havent been out on the hwy to test it for any lenght of time. What do you guys think?? Did I get a bad amp? or will a bad actuator cause a new amp to go bad?? Any help would be appreceated. Tom 89 560 SEL
