There are external torx. Should be able to find at Sears or one of the big box auto parts stores no problem.

I am replacing the MB-tex bottom seat cover on my 1998 C230.

Had no trouble rebuilding the cushion with the new MB-tex cover.

My problem is getting the stiff card-board surround on the new seat cover to fit under the metal lip of the seat at two particular points.

On the side of the bottom seat frame near the front, right above where there is an attachment for an articulating arm, I cannot get the new MB-tex' covers bottom border to push up into the lip.

Anyone familiar with what I'm describing?
Any tips?

Put a towel on the ground, then put the seat bottom upside down on the towel and kneel on the steel pan, it'll give you alot more fabric to play with. The cardboard does tend to delaminate and get too thick to fit in the groove, so you don't want this to happen. I start on the side, then work the cardboard through the radius of the corner, then the front and into the next radius, then the other side. Lots of it is done by feel and pressing on the fabric to make sure the cardboard is making it into the groove.
