wiper motor on all the time

Took car apart to paint 88 560 sl
all chrome and lights
wipers etc
Moved it out side to wash car and noticed the wiper motor on won't shut off
position 1 on key switch will work but when in position 2 they stay on
any ideas ? I have enough work without a new electrical problem

I don't think it's a problem. Without wiper arms motor has no load and has enough inertia to spin through the park position. I would try to put arms back on and let the motor to complete the cycle. Then remove arms in parked position.

Did not know what it was but I did something
It will drive me nuts till the cars painted if thats not problem
Thanks again , will let you know
