Hi all,
lot's of thanks to everyone, especially Steve Brotherton. I've cleared up alot of confusion, seems I and many others were all calling these arms by alot of different names. But I've got that all ironed out now. But here's even more info. I found out today that on 300E's manufactured before 3/86, the arms are mounted to the subframe with eccentric bolts, giving each wheel TWO place to make toe, and small camber adjustment)(so on my car it is adjustable at the torque strut and the tie rod). So here's my new question for all. With the "new" updated part along with it's accompaning bolts and sleeves, is it possible to eliminate the eccentric bolts? or are they still necessary on these early models. Thanks ALL Evan |
