Possibly "liquid" spilled onto console & into the shifter?

The shifter is a computer.

no shift

Hi Sounds like either the brake lamp switch or the electronic shift module.I would turn the key on and off and keep pressing thebrake pedal and hear for a click in the shifter consul,if releases keep it in N and start it up ,and have the light switch tested. Some times if its the switch even after its replaced the code needs to be cleared.Joeym
