Replacing OVP Relay On 190E
Last October I purchased a 1989 190E 2.6. The car had been neglected and had no repair receipts. Reading some posts here about cold starting problems, I deceided to replace the OVP relay. If you are familiar with this model, you know that this relay is located behind the battery in an awkward location. I tried, without success, to pull it out with my fingers. So, before I try to pry it out, I would like to know if there are any clips holding it in, or is it held in by the friction of the pins.
I have ordered a new relay and would like to have it in hand before trying to pull out the old one. Has any one else had this problem? Tom Cowles, Inverness FL. |

Ovp
Silver body red top and tough to remove? Yup thats it!
It may have a screw in one of the mount tabs (8mm head). Don't pull on the wires! Mike |

For my 1987 300 E it was just to be pulled out. It seems stuck at first. No screws for my model.
