light out indicator

I have a light that's burned out somewhere on my 1999 E430. It's not a major one or I would have noticed when I did a walk around. The indicator comes on when I turn on the headlights and it blocks my whole display (clock, odometer, outside temp, etc.) Is there a way to temporarily turn off the display that tells me I have a light out so I can see my clock, etc?

Don't you have a reset button for that?

I figured there must be one, but I'm not sure which one it it. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it.

I checked the license plate lights and they are both working. It only comes on when I turn the switch to turn on all of the lights.

420SEL,

Have you checked your third brake light ? - this one is easy to miss on a visual check?
