this may be a two person job.....
- using touch/sight, try lightly touching the plastic housing to see if the mirror is scraping the housing while attempting to mirror down/up. if so, perhaps the clearance is too tight and housing needs to be readjusted or repositioned. - the mirror servo motor is on the blink. remove the plastic housing and cycle through the Reverse/Park-Drive to see if the flip up/down is any more reliable. if so, then it seemingly points to the clearance theory above. if it still exhibits this anomaly, then it points to the motor. i've not had to....but wonder if the mirror servo mechanisms need lubricating? i'll dig around to see if any TSBs were issued
