I have a 2000 clk430 --
The right side mirror tilts down so you can see the curb when parking. When you go foward it is supposed to return to its nomal position. But it starts to move and it doesn't make it all of the way. It seems to only return approx 80%. When I push the seat memory button it goes all of the way. With the seat memory button it works fine. Only have trouble when it returns automatically. If you know a cure -- Please let me know. Thanks Allan:fork_off: ![]() ![]() |

this may be a two person job.....
- using touch/sight, try lightly touching the plastic housing to see if the mirror is scraping the housing while attempting to mirror down/up. if so, perhaps the clearance is too tight and housing needs to be readjusted or repositioned. - the mirror servo motor is on the blink. remove the plastic housing and cycle through the Reverse/Park-Drive to see if the flip up/down is any more reliable. if so, then it seemingly points to the clearance theory above. if it still exhibits this anomaly, then it points to the motor. i've not had to....but wonder if the mirror servo mechanisms need lubricating? i'll dig around to see if any TSBs were issued
