bad blower motor
1992 300E 2.6
My blower motor has stopped working. I have check the fuse which was good but replaced it anyway and it still doesnt work. Is there anything else I can check to detrimine that it is the blower motor. If it is the blower motor what can I expect to pay to get it fixed? Is it easy to get at? Thanks George |

You said you checked the fuse.
You should have checked the fuses There are 2 fuses for the heater blower. The second one is on top of the left front fender, near the top shock absorber bolt. Inside small (2in X 1in) plastic box with a wire coming out at each end. |

There is a control box that failes to function. When my fan stopped working
the culprit was a control box mounted under neath the fan. Difficult to get to on a 124 class. The trip took me two hours each way. My fan slowly stopped working over time and made no apparent warn out motor noises. It was a lot of work fixing it twice. |
