How to remove center console w/storage

Car is a 93 300TE. Want to replace a window switch and need to remove the center console. Only hitch is that it's the later W124 one with the storage bin. This stereo thread is close:

but only shows how to do it with the older style console with the carpet in the back. Anyone do this with the newer one with the storage on top? I'm assuming that the top part either needs to be pried or slid off. Just want to be careful and not be a dopy boy and break anything.

Couple of phillips screws in front corners of the storage area secure the box to the console. After that, it's all the same as any W124.
