190E Stalling

Ok, I have a 1991 190E which has a stalling problem, mainly when the transmission is put into drive or reverse.

I've changed the OVP, it has a new Dizzy cap, timing has been checked and reset and its got new plugs.

So to the problem....the car needs a good churn before it kicks into life. Thereafter it can idle just fine even when put into gear.

However, once warm, the car can then be a complete pig to drive, stalling every time you come to a stop....initially it will idle just fine and then 3-5 seconds later the rev's will just drop like a stone and the car will stall.

What I have noticed is that if I have the car in drive whilst its standing still, if I have my foot just resting on the accelerator pedal maintaining revs at 600rpm, the car will not stall. If I lift my foot off, the car will revert to idling for 3-5 seconds and the dying.

Any idea's or clues as to whats causing my car to stall???????
