W210 Cracked Dash Pad R&R...
My E320 is currently suffering from a common problem among W210 owners... A severely cracked dash pad. Mine is cracked around all four corners of the airbag, the defrost vents and near the speaker grills. I know new dash pads are very pricey from MB, but I'm hoping that I can simply remove my current unit, then attempt to repair and re-finish it. Are there any DIY instructions available online for the R&R process?
Thanks, Chris |

Dash pad R & R is not for the normal DIYer...
Takes a good technicial about 5-6 hrs to replace a W210 dash pad.

Mine has some tiny cracks at the air vents and along the airbag. I'm planning on using a little nail polish or perhaps a clear glue to seal the cracks at the edges - hopefully to stop them from cracking further. That, and regular applications of Meguiar's 40. Mine is not too bad at all though - hoping to keep it that way!
Good luck with yours!
