124 Euro Lights With Plastic Lenses????

I break down and get EURO headlights for my 1990 300CE and they have plastic lenses.Thought these lights had glass ,not plastic. They are DEPOT brand. They do look good but I guess I should have asked.
Does anyone have experiance with this brand?
Thanks
Rich

No they DEPOT lenses and are the same as the USA style plastic. Not bad but not glass.Bought them from a new seller on E-BAY
Should have asked, but thought all EURO'S were glass.
Lights with shipping were 180 or 190 dollars.
Disapointed

That's why I use only Bosch or Hella Euro's... Hold a set of aftermarkets in your hand then pick up a Bosch..the difference in quality/fit/finish etc becomes very clear.

jonathan, your perfectly right, those brands are the OE manufacturer, you will never go wrong with Bosch or Hella

I have Hella and they perform well. However, someone backed into my grill once (not the headlights) and the glass lenses popped right out of both my headlights. I was surprised.

As Jonathan says, I think you generally get what you pay for.

I purchased a set of DEPO clear front turn signals. One fell out somewhere on the road. I bought a pair of Bosch to replace the remaining one.

See for yourself, the difference between the two manufacturers. Here's a comparison of the two:

While I am sure that Bosch/Hella is better, I am not sure that they are worth 2 1/2 times as much.

I have ordered a set of TYC Euro headlights for my '91. I'll see how they compare to the Bosch in the '90.

Certainly they will be better than what came on the car from the factory...someone described them as holding a candle out front and trying to drive.

Regarding turn signals, I had the retaining tab break off an original Bosch and the turn signal was hanging by its wire and blowing in the wind.

Considering the POOR durability of the Bosch headlight doors on the '86-'93 W124s, I'm not sure Bosch has so much to brag about.

Same with the OEM headlights on the W210s that become horribly fogged.

So,just wondering, has anyone seen EURO headlights with the plastic lenses or is this something new and I was lucky enough to get the first pair?I still may try and return them to get DEPO and not DEPOT.
The lense quality is that of US spec 210 headlights or other OE PLASTIC HEADLIGHTS.
Guess I am just a little supprised, just like when my low bid went through.
Rich
