126 blows instrument fuse - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

1990 420 SEL

actually blows fuse for fuel gauge,oil oddometer, & tach.

I replaced fuse and it last for about a minute then blows again.

where do I start checking, I am without an electrical diagram.

Point me in the right direction.

any and all help is appreciated.

fuse 6 is the fuse and it feeds a whole lot of other things.------antilock brakes,cruise control,warning indicator,warning system,stop lamps/backup lamps and courtesy lamps. my experience leads me to recommend that you check each of the lights at the bottom of the doors and find the one that got crushed when a door was closed and will be your dead short.the light frames are cheap[$8] so buy all four and avoid more problems down the road.
