190E SRS light and door

I have a 1993 190E 2.6. When I open the door, the SRS light turns on and all the electrical components work, such as the sunroof and the radio. When the door closes, everything turns off. The SRS light will stay on for like 5 seconds and then turns off. What is the problem?
