560sel trailing arm question

i need to lower the trailing arm to get the springs out what size is the bolts i don't have any thing that big so i will have to buy them

I Really believe you would be better served renting the correct spring compressor.. Dropping the arms is a Major PITA and Very risky w/ the spring still in there...Not what I would recommend.

ok i live in a small town and some of the country guys have crazy ideas since i don't know much about cars i believe them

Unless these guys deal w/ Mercedes on a regular basis I would take their advise w/ a very large chunk of salt.
