I think I put a can or can and a half too much in; the connector to the AC clutch was loose. What is the capacity of an 83 24OD anyway--I thought it was 60 unces. my neighbor told me it was 48 ounce. i am ordinarily very methodical, but we just moved and I'm tired and missin all my manuals and tools and I am shotgunning.a t least I drew a vacuum...

its 42 ounces..uh oh...
i finally found my Mercedes CD. 1.2 kg =2.65 pounds= 42 ounces.How do i accurately drain and refill? Can I go by high side guage pressure? I think i am a bit high. Too much freon will ower cooling efficiency.
