Should there be a check engine light on my '87 300e
Hi all,
I'm doing some research on this mixture problem that I'm having and I was looking through chapter 07.3-0121 (testing electrical components of KE injection system) and on page 80 it refers to a check engine light. My car has a red light labeled O2-Sensor. Is this correct? I don't see anywhere in this chapter (testing electrical components) of a reference to an O2-Sensor light. I'm still just trying to determine WHERE to check the resistance of the coolant temperature sensor. Thanks, Bob |

That O2 lamp is correct.
Check resistance at the temp sensor. there are 2 electrical connectors. Use a good engine ground & measure to each of those female connectors on the sensor.
