Wireing the ASD to a switch

How do I do that ? I found the solenoid valve plug, it has two wires going to it , my guess is one is ground and the other is 12v I'm I right ? What I consider doing is to run 12v through a switch which when turned on supples 12v to the solenoid plug and activates the solenoid.
