Removing/Replacing Emblem badges
A couple months ago somone stole the emblems off my car and managed to break off only the E on my 300E badge. I got a new one off ebay for about 8$ and im wondering if anyone knows of a good way to remove the remainders of the old badge. Also what should I use to put the new one on? Thanks

Petroleum jelly should soften it, a little lighterfluid/kerosene. Then clean the area well. They are held on by double sided tape. You can get some at auto parts stores sniff, around at body shops they might give you a little piece. I would put it on the emblem and then slightly trim back from the edge I dont think you got much of a bargain on E-bay, at MB they come with the tape installed. I would be happy they did not steal the hood ornament or star in rear, it was a fad for a while.

Hair Dryer, Dental Floss and WD 40
Use a hair dryer to soften the adhesive, then use the dental floss as sort of a saw to cut thru the glue behind the emblem and then use the WD 40 to remove the remainder of the glue.
