hello all, I have a 86 190E that had a broken Ignition cylinder lock. I can insert the key and turn it but it wont start or stop the motor, though I can jump start the car since the ignition is stuck in the "ON" position, and the key just turns all over the place without doing anything. I bought a new cylinder lock unit and I need help with removing the old cylinder/tumbler. I fabricated a removal tool with help from this site and no matter how much I tried, the black sleeve just does not turn. If anyone has done this before or has a good tool that works, I would appreciate if you'd help me with this. I can drive the car to your place, and pay you for your services. I live in Princeton, NJ. if anyone's close by or know any mechanics who can do this, i would absolutely appreciate it. my email is
rialmadrid@gmail.com . I called up a couple of locksmiths in the area and they wanted upwards of $300 for this.
