Hi,
Help please. This is a 93 190e 2.3 4cyl. Can anyone tell me where this wire - please see attached picture .....that is hanging all by itself supposed to go to ???? All these days this wire was shoved down undermeath the intake manifold. I also have a check engine light on. May be this will explain why. Thanks

Judging by the size and location, it looks like the one that goes to the Temp. Sensor located on the front of the air cleaner housing. I see that you have your air cleaner removed and I don't see the temp. sensor laying there like I do when my air cleaner is removed.

Ok, it is the live wire just above the FPR ....it is on the right side of picture. There are about 6 wires in that bunch that comes from the ECU:
1 . Water temp sensor -
2. Engine temp sensor
3. Air temp sensor
4. Air Flow Pot
5. One wire is grounded on top of the intake manifold #1
6. This is the live one which I don't know where it is supposed to go to.

Thanks

Using the lenghth of the broken wire as circle radius should help to locate other part that is broken

Okay , Thanks for all the suggestions. I found out where this wire is supposed to go. It needs to be grounded to the engine block.

Yes. My check engine light is on. I got a code 4 which is Air Flow Sensor indicator. Is the CE light due to this faulty grounding ???? Please advise. Thanks
