Blower motor

The AC in my 1989 420sel wasn't working. I took it to my mechanic who tested the front fan, the freon, the fuse, etc. He said it must be the blower motor and removed the front right (passenger) inside front panel. He then kicked the blower motor and the AC started running! He told me to keep the panel off because I would have to kick it again if it stopped. I told him I had had it replaced about 5 years ago. He said that in Houston, Texas we use the AC a lot.So kick the blower motor and see if the AC in your car will start!

Thats a sign that the brush's are wearing down. You can put the panal back on, just give the underside of the dash a swift tap and it will start. They can be nursed along a few months like this, but your going to be replacing it soon.
