1996 E320 Stalls when I accelerate cold, not the Mass Air Flow?????

OK, i am completely thrown for a loop on this one. I know these cars practically inside and out and I cannot figure out what is going on with my car.

Only when she is cold does this happen- I start her up, put her in drive, accellerate and WHAM! dead. She just shuts right down. I have replaced the Mass Air Flow Meter with a Brand New One from the dealer, and hasn't changed anything. No lights on the dash, no warning messages. What could it be? She doesnt idle rough, extremely smoothe to be honest with you.... I just crossed over the 100,000 mile mark not too long ago. All plugs, wires, and coils are new.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated on this one...

Mike

Did the new unit come with the Eha or did you have to transfer the old one? I would also look toward the o2, was every thing checked for proper electrical settings? Just a some food for thought! JNT

Still Stumped-

The o2 sensor is 1 year old. No Check Engine Light. I don't get it..... Wiring harness is fine- No warning lights on the dash. Nothing.

When I start her, she idles fine, its just that first accelleration in the moring that she doesnt like. She hesitates, chokes up, and dies on me. Always starts right back up....

Question:
Does anyone know if this car has a Cold Start Valve or and OVP relay that could be causing this symptom?

I don't think she has an OVP but just thoght I would ask....

EHA ??
This guy has an HFM/SFI fully electronic car...

You may want to test this first .

I would also get the codes .. This sensor will bring on a code.
I would also do a cold fuel pressure test at the fuel rail.

The function performed by the OVP on other cars is split between the injection computer and the K40 relay module on yours. The computer senses the voltage, the K40 relay module switches the current.
