I just bought a new transmission modulator for my 87 190e
2.3. The instructions say it must be "adjusted" as explained in the Workshop Manuel. I have a Haynes book only. Anybody have experience in replacing this part? Thanks in advance! |

I adjust to taste. The proper way is to get the set value from a table and hook a gauge to the test port. Disconnect the vacuum and run the engine 2000rpm. (This is needed to asure full pump pressure as the pressure doesn't change by rpm after the pump is at regulated pressure.)

what are the test values or where do I find them
I am trying to set that value for the transmission modulator on an 87 SDL, but not having any luck finding where that specification is located.
thanks
