Does anyone have any experience with a transmission flushing device made by BG Products? It's apparently used by many shops around the country. I have found a few shops in my area which use the system, and am considering using one of them. I guess the system hooks up to the tranny lines and, with help of a cleaning solution, power flushes ALL of the old fluid and contaminants out and puts in fresh, new fluid. It sounds interesting........and like it really works. But I can't help being a little skeptical.

Check this link to see what you think.

Thanks,

Primo

I think one of the techs on this site sent a rep trying to sell him one packing... For me, since my 300E has a drain plug for the torque converter, they don't make any sense. For most cars where the torque converter can't be easily drained, it makes great sense.

I had my 81 sd power flushed ,they disconnect the line that goes to the bottom of the raditor and hook it up to the machine then pump transmission fluid (a lot of it ) through the whole system .You can watch the old dirty stuff coming out in a big plastic tube in front of the machine ,when the fluid shows clear they unhook it and it automaticly fills tranny to the corect level , my fluid has stayed clean since I had it done 6 k ago and tranny shift fine, charge was $80.00 there is no filter change or possible gasket leak ,I am well pleased with the process and will have it done again as the one bit of maintence I always hated was the tranny ,always got fluid in my hair and eyes no matter how carefull I was.....
