I have a couple of jobs I am behind on -

1. Replace the ball joints on my 1998 Ranger
2. Replace timing belt on my son's Camry

Rather than get the tools an have them end up being specific for those vehicles, could someone provide advice on which brand and/or "set" should be purchased that will give me some flexibility - i.e. I would be able to use the tools on my W210 and 126?

Short list looks like:
- ball joint fork
- ball joint remover and press (upper and lower applicability?)
- harmonic balancer puller (some kits have broader pulley applicability)

I am more than willing to pay for extra flexibility vice task specific tools.
