Question 88 260E waterpump and odo repair question

Hi All,

My neighbor needs to remove the waterpump and was wondering what is the easiest way of doing this.

Also, the odo has stopped working. I was wondering if the cluster comes out the same way as the cluster on my 300D?

Thanks for your help,

Chris

Replace water pump procedure attached.
You can count on several frustrating moments, bruised knuckles and a bad back if you have never done it before.
Good luck

Well, the factory manual makes it look so simple.

Interesting that the manual says to insert the back bolts with a magnet. At least they acknowledge there is no room!
