2003 CLK 320 help?
Hello,
I needed some help would appreciate everybodies input. I have a 2003 CLK 320 Convertible, which is flooded! Obviously, most of the electrical and electronic parts are not working and the car is totaly dead. So first of all, where would you suggest I start?!! the car seems to have been in water all the way upto the instrument cluster. Most of the parts that I have checked have erossion (electrical) I am told, the first thing I wanna do is try to clean all the electrical contacts to clear the rust and replace the main ECU, ignition coils, ignition switch and key and try to get some life to the car and then try to hook it up to star diagnosis to go further. What do you say about this? BTW, if I replace the ECU, I am told that I have to obtain the ignition switch/key for the same vehicle that I get the ECU from if I get a used ECU from a salvage yard? is this the case or can I reprogram the used ECU with the existing key thru star diagnosis? I would greatly appreciate as much info as possible. Thanks and regards |

Call your insurance company, unless you bought the car that way, then call a lawyer.
