w124 Removal of Air Filter Assembly

I need to check the part numbers of my fuel distributor and EHA etc. I know its underneath the air filter assembly, which I need to remove. How do I go about doing it? Yesterday I took off the cover and removed the filter to look at the assembly but didn't see any screws/bolts holding the
assembly down to the engine. Is it held in place by friction
of the rubber piece connecting the metal assembly to the intake of the mass air flow meter that's on the fuel distributor?
