C220 Belt Tensioning Pulley Removal

Anyone with access to a manual for a 1994 C220 (111 Engine)? Need to know if a special tool is necessary to remove the belt tensioning pulley for access to replace the belt damper. I don't have visual access to the vehicle at this writing, but I recall that it appears that the External Torx on the center shaft could be held with a socket while removing the retaining nut with a box end wrench. Anyone done this one?
