Help needed 97 W210
I have a 97 W210 model Mercedes, the AC is not blowing as cold as it use to, it's blowing cool. the right side seems to get cold before the drivers side but the drivers side evntually cools down. I ran the diagnostic test and came up with these results
sensor1: 27 sensor2: 42 sensor3: 21 sensor4: 17 sensor5: 21 sensor6: 97 sensor7: 13 sensor8: 61 Error code: b1227 Does anyone know the part# for this part? Do you have any suggestions after reading the values I've posted? I need this AC back up and running fast, I'm in Florida and it's HOT. Leon |

You're probably a bit low on refrigerant. To get better numbers, you should take a outside and inside temperature measurements with a good thermometer and measure the in-cabin humidity as well if possible; post those results (the charts use these values). Run the test with the front windows down, and the engine running at 1500 RPM.
I'd lay odds that you need a few hundred grams of refrigerant (much less than one can). |

A few day ago I installed a new outside tepm sesnor (the one in the front bumper) and was still getting the error code: b1227. Someone from another forum told me that there is another outside tep sensor for the AC. I went to the dealer this morning and asked one of the guys in the parts dept. and he told me that the one that I bought 2 days before (the front bumper one) was the only outside temp sensor. If thats the case, why is it that after I installed it and is now getting a reading on the dash (which I wasn't getting before I installed it) that I still get the b1227 code error? Is there something that has to be done after installing that sendsor? Is there something else in the round up that I should be looking into?

I'm still trying to find out why is it that I put a brand new ambient temp sensor on and still getting the same code (b1227)...what could cause this? I put another half can on freon in and it;s still not as ice cold as it use to be. Something is stopping it the AC from reaching MAX cooling like it should

Also check the fan assembly to be sure the blades are rotating in the proper direction. Polarity can easily be changed by disassembling the plug and swapping the pos and neg wires.
