A/C Compressor?

Hi,

i bought my self a new W126 280SE '82. I've imported it from Switzerland, and it drives like a dream. Only 82.000 miles

But i have a question. I used to have to other 280SE's, but none of them used to have this part under the hood (or i didn't noticed it before). Can you guys tell me if this is perhaps an A/C compressor?

I hope the pictures are detailed enough. Is this an A/C compressor or something else? It got an belt running to it, besides the other belt that goes to the dynamo.

Thanks.

It is defiantly the power steering pump. Open it to check the oil level. You'll see a red fluid, it's a transmission fluid.
