What is the difference between 722.507 and 722.508

transmissions? I have a 1996 s320 that has a 722.508 that is on it's last legs and I just can't put a rebuilt in for $2500 plus right now but I found a good low mileage 1995 sl320 that has a 722.507 trans. Are they interchangable? is there any diff? Thank you. Fred

Fred:

The URL below isn't going to say much more than you know, but it seems to indicate they are of the same "family".

I would wonder if the ECM/microprocessor functions vary enough between these 2 models to disallow a swap?

Hopefully M.B.Doc will see this thread.
