w220 blower motor issue

Hello,

I have a 2000 S500, just recently the A/C blower stopped working. With some web digging I managed to locate and disassemble the blower motor. I noticed the blower regulator got fried. So, I naturally replaced it and the blower would still not work. Then I used a multimeter to test the voltage coming through. The funny part is, i get 6.75V on the wire that plugs into the regulator and i get no Volts from the regulator to the blower.

The question I have is, shouldn't I be getting something close to 12V if I have the fan to the highest level?

Also, shouldn't I be getting some voltage from the regulator?

Any help would be appreciated.

Kevin

Welcome,

That year & model car has had 2 recalls on that blower system. 1st was the regulator & the 2nd was for wiring to the regulator..IF you have a USA version I would suggest that you make sure those recalls have been performed.
