1998 e320 window switch problems

i just helped find a great 1998 e320 with 73k miles for my girlfriend. we picked the car up on friday and she kept her six year old twin niece and nephew for the weekend. they rode in the car for the first time and knocked a full glass of sweet tea on the window switch console. within several minutes all the windows went down and none of the buttons worked. i got the windows up before a rainstorm using the mechanical key. the next day i took out the switch and tried to dry out each disassembled button with a hair dryer. now only the driver's side window is working. did this switch get ruined due to the tea and sugar? is thare a way to salvage or is there a good possibility the entire assemmbly will need to be replaced? thanks in advance for any help. hoss260e
