No Reverse 94 E320 Help - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Hello,
My 94 E320 transmission now has no reverse, all the forward gears work perfectley. I remember reading someware that their was a cover you could remove and tighten some screw and the transmission would work again. Does any one have any ideas?

sorry to say but you need to take transmission apart.
If you got the 5 speed.

there is a large piston behind the front pump in trans and either this piston doesn't work [because of busted lip seal] or the reverse clutches are completely worn out[if this is case you would have been experiencing long engagement times when going from park to reverse]one more possibility there is a lot of trash in valve body and reverse valve won't move.
