126 front end thump

Working on an 89 126 and have replaced sway bar bushings, upper control arms, lower ball joints, and the thing still has a thumping on the right front wheel that is REAL noticeable. It is definately only the right front. Any thoughts ?

Guide rods - does the thumping happen in turns and on bumps?

Haven't noticed any thumping in the turns, just on bumps going straight.

If they haven't been done - that's probably what your are going to conclude. Sort of a PIA DIY. Mark your rod lengths before dis-assembly so you can get the alignment close when you reassemble. You will need an alignment done afterwards. Peter there are some great threads on this DIY here on the forum

Yep, David called one correctly again.
Thumps on small bumps at slow speed? Gotta be guide rods.
My right one went south at about 150k. Can't feel anything when trying to shake or push it, the main coil spring pushes back on it and keeps it tight.
