Hello guys,

I am quite new to this forum and I have a problem with a s320 with chassis number wdb1400331a325191. The problem is the car would not want to start after probably a month with the battery removed. We hav tried to do recognition with the key.. replaced the battery of the key (both keys). The key would unlock and lock the car using the remote and if you unlock the car the green light on the doors would light up and when you lock the car the red light will light up. But when you put the key into the ignition and turn it to on the green and red light would alternatly light up on the rear view mirror. Can you guys give me steps or things that I could check. Please let me know.. Thank you.

Hi It sounds like you have a bad transponder ring at the key not sending a signal to the infared control unit N54/1 causing the lamps to alternate at mirror and no start condition. Good luck Tim
