W124 A/C Quation--It is hot in So. Cal.
Took the 300TE to run a few errands requiring the use of a wagon. It was 110 degrees plus in the floor of the vally (San Fernando Valley).
A/C working OK, no Artic blast but cool enough. Stop to put gas and buy water. Start the car again. I get air coming out of the A/C vents, but it is not cold, in fact it soon turns into ambient (hot) air). I shut off the A/C, drive with the windows open. Stop to get some lunch. The car is topped for about 20 -25 minutes. Just for kicks I start the A/C and low and behold I am getting cold air again. Did the A/C gods smile upon me and decided to forgive my past trespasses. Or, is there something more sinister at hand? Any help/ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much

If your car uses a compressor speed sensor, I'd start there.
