Clear Coat turning brown
What would cause the clear coat on my repainted '82 300SD to develop brown area?
After painting the car was kept in the garage for a few months waiting to reach "historic" staus so i could put it on the road. During that time--after waiting a few weeks, I wet sanded and buffed the CC to a high degree of lustre. It looked great! A friend gave me a car cover that he was not going to use as it was too much trouble. I parked the car in the May-June sunshine under the car cover. Did high heat cause the CC to brown? The brown areas are all on flat surfaces, 4" to 8" from the edge ( either roof or fender). Is there an EASY remedy. besides driving the car after dark? ( It looks REALLY good under lights)

Were you using a Urethane Clearcoat with a catalyst? Thinking you have a white base coat and the color is sort of a toasted marshmellow brown - am I on the right track?
