loctite on trans filter screws?
Finally the trans fluid is drained on my 95 E320. I reassembled but ran out of light before torquing the pan bolts (using an old gauge type torque wrench for a torque setting that low).
There were just a couple, maybe three grain of sand type particles in the front corner of the pan. Other than that the pan was extremely clean and the fluid bright red. The screws for the filter were hard to break so I am wondering if they should have had a drop of blue loctite when the new filter was installed? Or is that unnecessary? Thanks!
