I can't locate the specific name, let alone a P/N so I can get it ordered up.
It is a four prong switch/sender that sits just aft of the idle solenoid on my 560. It runs something for the CIS, I replaced it on my 300SEL also but misplaced the part number. ![]() ![]() If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it! ![]()

CIS-S coolant temp sensor for that car is 008-542-32-17

My idle is high in park (not 2000rpm, but 900rpm hot) and I've replaced/resealed everything else. I've experienced before a bad sender to the computer causing my vehicle to dump massive fuel at idle.
Senders don't last forever, so I replace them all on any vehicle I purchase. $30 is cheap insurance for any issues.
