need help new merc owner

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased my first Mercedes Benz (190E 2.3) last Friday 10/8/07. On Saturday I decided to clean the engine and the throttle body of the CIS fuel injection. I had no problem after cleaning the engine but I can’t say the same for the fuel injection. I had the car running while cleaning the fuel injection. Now my idle on park is at 1000 - 1200 and 1500 - 2100 when I shift to D, 3, 2 and R. The car runs fine while driving I'm concerned during idle.
Before cleaning the fuel injection my idle was normal 700 - 800 rpm in any gear.

Can some shed some light to my problem?
I have triple check if any vacuum lines or electronics got disconnected but found nothing.

Does anyone know were to buy a factory manual in a cd or DVD format?

Thanks

Thumbs up

Did you clean the air horn?
Yes, using carb cleaner Gumout. I will try your suggestion later.
You mention taking it off and cleaning it. Any suggestion how?
The Micro switch moves fine.
Yes I do have an OHM meter. Why?
What do you mean by "can jump to idle speed contacts to stimulate a closed idle"? What will that do?

This all new to me I appreciate all your help.

Thanks

I would think a 91 190 would have a diagnostic connector, either 8 pin or 16 pin, near the battery. If so you should build a code reader and check the fault codes.

I clean the air horn again and let it sit for some time but no change. I also reset the ECU by disconneting the battery.

You mentioned checking the t-valve. How does the t-valve look? Where is it?

Thanks
